Who you are booking with

Ninh Binh Cooking Class is run by Silenrock OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. We sell places at cooking classes given by independent local hosts in Ninh Binh, Vietnam. The host runs the class; we take your booking, your payment and your questions. Contact us at bookings@ninhbinhcookingclass.com.

Prices and payment

Prices are per person, in Vietnamese dong, and include everything: the class, the meal you cook, and our booking and payment costs. There is nothing to pay on the day. You pay the full amount when you book, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Your bank may convert the amount to your own currency at its own rate.

Children aged 6 and under join for free and are not counted in the number of people. Please mention them in the booking note.

Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed as soon as the payment is complete. You get a confirmation email with the date, time, menu and directions, and your host is told you are coming. We only cancel a confirmed booking if the host cannot host it, for example because of illness or flooding. In that case you get a full refund and we help you find another date or class.

Changing your booking

You can move your booking to another date or time, or change the number of people, free of charge up to 48 hours before the class starts. Reply to your confirmation email and we arrange it, subject to the host's availability. Extra people are charged at the same price per person; fewer people are refunded.

Cancelling and refunds

• More than 48 hours before the class: full refund.
• Less than 48 hours before, or not turning up: no refund. By then your host has bought the ingredients and kept the time free for you.
• The host cancels: full refund, always.

The 48 hours count to the start time of your class, Vietnam time. To cancel, use the link in your confirmation email: it shows what applies at that moment and the refund is made straight away. Or reply to the email and we do it for you. Refunds go back to the card you paid with; banks usually show them within 5 to 10 days.

Because a cooking class takes place on a fixed date, the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply. These terms replace it.

Menus and dishes

The menus on each class page show what you will typically cook. The dishes and ingredients can differ from that description: the season, what is available at the market on the day, or the host's judgement of what is best can all change a dish or an ingredient. That is part of cooking with fresh local food, and a change like that is not a reason for a refund. If you have an allergy or do not eat something, tell us when you book and your host cooks around it.

On the day

Come to the address in your confirmation at the start time. Bring nothing. Tell us about allergies and food you do not eat when you book, and the host cooks around it. Drinks are not included unless the menu says so.

Reviews

The day after your class we ask how it was. Reviews you leave may be shown on this site with the name you choose. We do not edit them; we only remove spam and abuse.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
